^Lot 397 Chilean Model 1895 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle

Chilean Model 1895 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #H499, 7x57mm, 29" barrel, blued finish with bright bolt assembly, hardwood stock set, inverted "V" front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight. Marked on top of receiver ring with Chilean crest, and "MAUSER CHILENO MODELO 1895/MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN" on left-side receiver rail. Chilean crest cartouche over "1895" stamped on left-side buttstock. Matching numbers except cleaning rod. Front sling swivel is bent. Condition overall is very good with approx. 90% arsenal re-blued finish remaining on the metal, applied over old pitting on the barrel, now showing rust to the buttplate tang. Handle and bolt sleeve show darkening. Wood is very good with dents and scratches to the darkened finish. Action operates smoothly, bright bore is very good with very good defined rifling.
