^Lot 406 British Commercial Mark IV Webley Double Action Revolver

British Commercial Mark IV Webley Double Action Revolver, #A90956, .38 S&W cal., 5" flat-sided barrel, blued finish, black plastic checkered grips with "Webley" logo on each side, blade front sight and fixed "U"-notched rear sight. Revolver has a grooved trigger, and a round lanyard ring is attached to the bottom of the grip frame. Marked "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD/BIRMINGHAM" on top of barrel strap and "MARK IV .38" on the left side. Right-side barrel marked with the "Winged Bullet" trademark logo and "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the right-side barrel strap. Rear of the frame is stamped "SPF/684" denoting issue to the Singapore Police Force. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, and cylinder. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 90% reblued finish, with fine old patina to the front grip strap and barrel flats. Grips have flaking at the front strap, otherwise good, showing a few areas of bruising and flattening to the checkering. Action locks up, cycles, and extracts smoothly; bright bore is very good with very good rifling; chambers are clean and bright. Import stamped on underside of barrel. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)
