Budapest M95 Mannlicher Straight-Pull Bolt Action Rifle, #M9510598, 8X56Rmm, 19.75" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock set, inverted "V" front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with "V" notch. Marked on top of receiver ring "(eagle stamp)/BUDAPEST/M95". Barrel shank stamped with large "S" and "W/eagle stamp/34". Matching original serial numbers (5725). Condition overall is very good as arsenal reconditioned and shortened after WWI, with the metal retaining approx. 95% finish showing surface patina to the bright bolt knob. There is a chip and crack to the hand guard forward of the front band, otherwise the wood is very good, showing mostly light handling marks to the varnished finish. Action operates smoothly; bore has darkening in the grooves, otherwise good with good defined rifling. Importer engraved and re-serial numbered on left side of receiver. Est.: $300-$500. (C&R)
