Lot 448 Swedish M1887 Nagant Double Action Revolver

Swedish M1887 Nagant Double Action Revolver, #8610A, .22 RF cal., 4.5" octagon barrel, blued finish, four-piece walnut checkered grips, inverted "V" front sight and fixed "V"-notched rear sight. Lanyard ring is attached to bottom of grip frame. Mfg'r marked "HUSQVARNIA" on left-side frame over "PTB" (Per Theodor Bergsten) inspection code. Matching numbers (1493) on frame, extractor housing, and barrel. Army #L No 8610/A stamped on right side of frame. Revolver has been converted to .22 RF caliber by sleeving the barrel and chambers . There is a small area of marring on the outside of the cylinder. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 80% finish, with scattered frosting to the frame and wear and patina to the cylinder. The straw loading gate, hammer, and trigger show scattered darkening and patina. Grips are good with flattening to the checkering and scattered handling marks. Action locks, cycles, and extracts smoothly; bore has dark areas that may clean better with good rifling; several of the chambers have small dark areas, otherwise bright. No visible import marks.
