^Lot 449 New Zealand Issued British Webley Mark VI Double Action Revolver

New Zealand Issued British Webley Mark VI Double Action Revolver, #425741, .45 ACP cal., 6" barrel, blued finish, black plastic grips, blade front sight, dovetail insert is missing from rear sight. Marked on left-side frame "WEBLEY/MARK VI/PATENTS/1918". Left-side barrel strap is stamped "MARK VI" behind 18 in service, and Birmingham proof and view stamps. Sold out of service opposing arrows are stamped on left-side barrel forward of holster guides. New Zealand issue marks "NZ/11/19/350" are stamped on rear of frame. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, and cylinder. Revolver has been converted to .45 ACP cal. by shaving the rear of the cylinder and can be loaded using full or half-moon clips. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 70% finish, showing darkening to the barrel and flaking to the painted stirrup release. Grips are good showing small chips and handling marks with overall flattening to the checkering. Action locks up, cycles, and ejects smoothly; bright bore is very good with very good defined rifling.
