^Lot 452 Colt Official Police Post-War Double Action Revolver

Colt Official Police Post-War Double Action Revolver, #811496, .38 Spec. cal., 6" barrel, serrated blade front and a square-notched fixed rear sights, blue finish, checkered walnut two-piece Colt medallion grips. Mfg'd 1962. Revolver is in very good overall condition retaining approx. 75%-80% thinning factory blue finish, with significant losses on both sides of the barrel, at the muzzle, and at the front of the cylinder. Front and rear straps have drifted to a mixture of thinning blue and gray patina. There is a pronounced index line on the cylinder and a light freckling of surface rust on the barrel and frame. Checkered walnut medallion grips are good with some discoloration and flattening of checkering, particularly on the right panel. Action works well and the timing and bore good. Est.: $300-$500.
