Marlin Model 444S Lever Action Rifle, #18051140, .444 Marlin cal., 22" barrel with micro-groove rifling, hooded blade front and folding buckhorn rear sights, half magazine, hammer extension, blue finish, smooth wood two-piece pistol grip stock, Williams aperture sight, sling swivels, and a period leather rifle sling. Mfg'd 1982. Rifle is in near fine overall condition retaining approx. 95% factory blue finish, with light scratches, handling marks and edgewear. Smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars and compressions consistent with field use. Stock ends with a Marlin marked solid rubber recoil pad providing a 13.75" LOP. Front sight has been colored red with fingernail polish, and a Williams peep sight has been added during the period of use. Missing inletted bullseye into rear bottom of stock.
