Reproduction Percussion Plains Rifle, by Connecticut Valley Arms, #6954, .50 cal., 28" octagonal barrel with tall blade front and adjustable rear sights, maker's info, caliber, and serial number at left, under-rib with single ferrule retains the brass-tipped hardwood ramrod; lightly-engraved flat lock has matching hammer, drum bolster with brass nipple protector; brass fittings include scrolled trigger guard, crescent buttplate, 1.125" nosecap. Halfstock of satin-finished light-color walnut. Double set triggers. Condition is good showing much thinning brown-blue to barrel, muted case colors to lock and hammer, bright brass. Stock is sound and smooth showing a few scattered marks, light finish wear, a .5" crack to rear of lock.
