^Lot 610 Remington Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action Rifle

Remington Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action Rifle, #4084776, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, blackened finish, walnut stock set, blade front sight and adjustable sliding aperture rear sight. Marked "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3" on top of receiver ring. Barrel behind the front sight is marked "RA/(flaming bomb)9-43". The Scant stock is stamped "AA HO" on the left-side wrist, with a boxed "RIA/EB" on the left-side buttstock. There are two "P" firing proofs stamped into the underside of the wrist. Two mismatched numbers have been engraved into the top of the bolt handle and stamped into the right-side buttstock (partially removed). Rack #394 stamped into comb of buttstock. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 90% finish. There are 4 spliced inserts to repair cracks to the top of the hand guard, otherwise the wood is very good showing old scratches and handling marks to the dark finish. Action operates smoothly, bright bore is excellent with excellent two-groove rifling. No visible import marks. Est.: $700-$900. (C&R)
