^Lot 640 Soviet SKS Semi-Automatic Carbine, with Folding Bayonet

Soviet SKS Semi-Automatic Carbine, with Folding Bayonet, #TP7217, 7.62x39mm, 20.25" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock set, hooded post front sight and adjustable tangent rear sight. Carbine has been arsenal reconditioned, the mfgr's mark has been removed from the top of the receiver cover and a refurbishment mark stamped in its place with the area refinished. Left-side receiver is marked with a five-pointed star. Visible numbers match, with the right-side buttstock re-numbered from a previous serial number. Rifle is missing its cleaning rod and buttstock cleaning kit. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 95% finish showing some scratches to the buttplate. Wood is very good showing recent scattered handling marks to the dark shellac finish. Action operates smoothly, bright bore is very good with very good well-defined rifling. Import stamped on right side of barrel. Bayonet is in excellent condition and also operates smoothly. Est.: $700-$900. (C&R/PPT)
