^Lot 657 British No. 2 Mk 1 Enfield Double Action Revolver

British No. 2 Mk 1 Enfield Double Action Revolver, #Q590, .38 S&W cal., 5" barrel, black-painted finish, grooved walnut grips, blade front sight and fixed "U"-notched rear sight. Revolver is covered in black paint and markings are difficult to read. "No. 2 Mk 1" is visible on right-side frame. Hammer spur is still in place and lanyard ring is attached to butt. Matching serial number and steel batch number are visible on cylinder. Condition overall is good with approx. 70% of the painted finish remaining on the metal, now showing scratches and flaking. Grips are good with chips along the bottom, and the grooves worn smooth on both sides, with overall handling marks. Action locks up, cycles, and ejects smoothly; bore is very good with very good rifling; chambers have rust spots and darkening but may clean better. Import stamped on underside of barrel.
