Modified Japanese Type 99 Arisaka Bolt Action Rifle, #1536, 7.7x 58mm, 18.25'' barrel, blued /black painted finish, two-piece hardwood stock. Sights removed. Mum crest has been ground off receiver. Marked on left-side receiver with markings for the Izawa Jyuko Arsenal and a 9th Series stamp. Mismatched numbers on bolt handle. Rifle has been modified by cutting off the barrel with a hack saw, removing the sights, and cutting and re-shaping the stock. Condition overall is good as modified, with the metal retaining approx. 90% of its added black-painted finish. Wood is good with chips and scratches to the added stain finish.
