Trade Pattern Martini-Enfield Single Shot Carbine, NVSN, .303 Brit. cal., 21.25" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, bead on ramp front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight. Marked on right side barrel shank with Birmingham proof and view stamps and "303 PROVED". Carbine was assembled with surplus parts by the Birmingham gun trade for sale to private and government customers. "EH/163" stamped on right-side buttstock. No cleaning rod is fitted. Condition overall is good with the metal retaining about 75% finish, showing patina and rust spots to the front sight, band, and rear sight block. Stock is swollen behind the receiver and a section has chipped off behind the thumb rest, otherwise the wood is good, showing overall handling marks to the dark finish. Action operates smoothly, bore is dark with visible fair to good rifling. Est.: $700-$900. (C&R)
