Winchester Model 57 Target Bolt Action Rifle, #2496, .22 LR cal., 22" barrel, Lyman globe style front and folding leaf rear sights, blue finish, smooth walnut one-piece pistol grip stock, magazine eject button on the stock, one Winchester marked 5-rd. magazine marked "MADE IN U.S.A./WINCHESTER/TRADEMARK" on the base, Lyman aperture sights at the rear of the receiver, sling swivels, and a period leather rifle sling. Mfg'd 1927. Rifle is in fine overall condition retaining approx. 90%-92% toning blue finish, with some wear at the muzzle, small scratches, and areas of light surface erosion, primarily along the barrel. There are crisp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front ring. Bolt is in the white, while the knurled cocking knob is blued. Smooth wood stock is in very good condition with small scrapes and mars from carry and use. Buttstock ends with a deteriorated solid rubber pad providing a 13-3/8" LOP, with 13" to the wood. Action is crisp and functions smoothly; bore is good showing use with defined rifling. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
