Civil War Pettengill Double Action Percussion Army Revolver, #2562, .44 cal., 7.5" octagonal barrel marked "WW" (inspector William Walter) at breech has hinged loading lever below; 6-shot round cylinder; solid frame marked "Pettengill's/Patent 1856" and "Raymond & Robitaille/Patented 1858" on topstrap has integral straps and 2-pc. walnut grips. Mfg'd early 1860s, in approx. 3,400 qty. Condition is good being bright metal cleaned of pitting, having fine edges and markings. Grips are sound, show wear and a .5" chip at right butt.
