Antique Remington Rolling Block Single-Shot Carbine, #2346, .50 CF cal., 18" round barrel with carbine sights, marked "2346" and "G.P. JG" at breech; large No. 1 receiver with auto-extraction is marked "2346" at left, "1874" right; forestock of oil-finished walnut has a single spring-retained band with sling swivel, slotted ramrod, matching buttstock marked "1874" at right and "2346" at left has a vacant 1.25" circular brass plate inlet at left, brass buttplate marked "2346", sling swivel at belly. Mfg'd ca. 1874. Condition is very good retaining approx. 85% thinning blue and traces of case colors (but mostly silvered with scattered oxidation), toned brass. Stocks are sound and smooth with light marks. Action is crisp, bore is bright showing frosting in grooves, sharp rifling. Est.: $600-$900. (Antique)
