Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Saddle-Ring Carbine, 3rd Type, #257631B, .44-40 CF cal., 20" barrel has standard sights and markings; receiver with standard features has left-side saddle-ring/stud, milled rail for sliding dustcover; forend of oil-finished walnut has single band, matching buttstock a curved buttplate with sliding door to butt trap. Mfg'd 1888. Condition is good retaining no original finishes, being smooth gray-brown gunmetal with scattered discoloration, occasional light roughness, fair to good edges and markings. Stocks are sound and smooth having generally light marks and impressions. Action is crisp, bright bore shows light etching, excellent rifling. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (Antique)
