Antique Swiss Single-Shot Salon Pistol, by Jean Siber of Lausanne, NVSN, 4mm, blued 3.5" octagonal barrel made integral with 4" breech (marked "Jean Siber",) has a 1" opening for sliding striker that is manually thumb-cocked, then capped and fired using the conventional trigger. Halfstock of varnished walnut has bag grip, spurred trigger guard, and Schnabel nose. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 98% deep blue, sharp edges and markings. Stock shows minor handling marks, lovely grain, color, and most original varnish. Action is crisp, bore is clean having fine spiral rifling. Siber and his family were Swiss watchmakers, and their quality and detail show. Est.: $800-$1,100. (Antique)
