Hi-Standard 1st Model Olympic Model GO Semi-Automatic Pistol, #329720, .22 Short cal., 6.75" heavy bull barrel, blade front and adjustable "Davis" rear sights, lever takedown, aluminum slide, grooved surface on top of barrel and slide, blue finish, deluxe checkered walnut two-piece grips with thumb rest, and one correct matching number humpback 10-rd. magazine. Left barrel lug is marked "HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP./NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A." Mfg'd 1950. Pistol is in near excellent overall condition retaining approx. 92% toning blue finish with light wear at the muzzle, small scratches at the rear of the slide and edgewear. The alloy slide shows edgewear and has begun to drift to purple tones. Barrel shows a matching serial number on the base of the lug. The rare humpbacked magazine has the matching serial number etched on the left side. Grips are very good with some flattening of checkering. Action is crisp, bore is very good with defined rifling. The First Model Olympic was a deluxe top-of-the-line quality adaption of the Model GE, mfg'd for only two years, 1949-1950, with a total production of only approx. 1,250 units. Est.: $1,000-$1,500.
