^Lot 149 Saginaw M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine

Saginaw M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine, #3616153, .30 Carbine cal., 18" barrel, parkerized finish, flat bolt, walnut stock set, blade front sight with protectors and two-position flip rear sight with aperture. A fair condition early U.S.G.I. tan cotton sling with oiler is fitted, and a very good condition 15-rd. magazine marked "KSG" on the spine is attached. Marked "SAGINAW S'G'" on receiver tang, and "U.S. CARBINE CAL. .30 M1" on receiver ring. Barrel behind the front sight is marked "UNDERWOOD/11-43/(flaming bomb)". Right side buttstock is stamped with a boxed "S'G'" behind a crossed cannons Ordnance Dept. stamp. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 90% finish. Wood is very good showing mostly light handling marks to the even colored finish. Action locks stiffly and requires effort to pull operating handle, otherwise smooth; bright bore is very good with very good rifling. No visible import marks. Est.: $900-$1,200.
