FN-49 Venezuelan Contract Semi-Automatic Rifle, #3826, 7x57mm, 23.2" barrel, blackened finish, walnut stock set, blade front sight with protectors and adjustable aperture rear sight. Marked on top of receiver ring with Venezuelan crest, and "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE" on right side receiver. Barrel has fixed flash hider and the bright sheet steel buttplate has horizontal ridges. Rifle is fitted with a 10-rd. magazine. Condition overall is close to excellent with the metal retaining almost all of its finish, showing just a few scattered handling marks. Forend and hand guard have an area of marring between the bands, otherwise the wood is close to excellent, showing scattered handling marks and darkening to the finish. Action operates smoothly, bright bore is excellent with well-defined rifling. No visible import marks. A nice example of a Venezuelan contract FN-49 and one of only 8012 rifles produced.
