Colt Pre-Series 70 Lightweight Commander Semi-Automatic Pistol, #55637-LW, .45 ACP cal., 4-1/4" barrel, blue finish, alloy frame, checkered hardwood grips, standard blade front and square-notched rear sights. Includes one blued steel Colt magazine. Mfg'd 1968. Condition is good retaining approx. 90% factory blue, which shows some thinning; slide with mild plum colored toning. Metal with general light edgewear, handling marks, fine scratching to the slide. Wear to the front and back strap accounts for much of the finish loss. Factory lettering is clear. Grips are very good, checkering is primarily sharp, with a few moderate handling marks. Action is tight and operates smoothly. Bore is very good, bright, rifling shows typical wear but is still clearly defined. Est.: $1,000-$1,400. (C&R/PPT)
