Antique British Military Style Single-Shot Percussion Pistol, NVSN, .65 cal., 9.12" round barrel without sights has 2 British proof marks, retained by a single key; line-bordered flat lockplate is marked "Tower/Proof" under the matching hammer; plain brass furniture of loop trigger guard, oval buttcap with steel lanyard loop, nosecap, single ferrule retaining the hinged captive ramrod with large button tip; 8.5" steel belt hook mounted at left side; plain oil-finished walnut fullstock has raised panels at either side of lock. Mfg'd ca. 1840s-50s. Belt hook may be a later addition. Condition is good showing age-darkened iron. Barrel and belt hook show scattered light-to-moderate discoloration and erosion and brass. Stock is sound and smooth with a few nicks and dings and much finish. Action is strong, bore is clean with overall frosting. Est.: $500-$750. (Antique)
