Civil War-Era Moore Front-Loading Teat-Fire Cartridge Revolver, #2227, .32 cal., 3.25" round barrel has hinged shell extractor at right lug; round 6-shot cylinder; scroll engraved brass open-top frame has integral spurtrigger sheath, "bird's head" straps, 2-pc. varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1864-70. Condition is good retaining no original finishes, the steel being lightly rusted and lacking markings, brass showing wear to engraving. Part of extractor is missing. Grips are sound with added varnish. Action doesn't turn cylinder, bore shows mild etching and good rifling. Est.: $250-$400. (Antique)
