Lot 366 James Parker Belgium-Made Side-by-Side Hammer Shotgun

James Parker Belgium-Made Side-by-Side Hammer Shotgun, #48254. 12 ga. 30" solid rib barrels are marked "Fine Damascus Belgium" on the rib, with 2-3/4" chambers and choke measuring Mod./IC. The action features lockup via a single underlug and doll's head rib extension, case-colored locks, with double hammers and triggers. The splinter forend and Prince of Wales buttstock are oil-finished walnut, with a gutta percha grip cap and an  Ithaca buttplate fitted. Mfg'd after 1897 but not proofed for smokeless powders. Condition is good to very good, with blackened barrels hiding any twist patterns, re-cased receiver, worn checkering, and pitted bores. Action locks tight so OK for black powder shooting only.
