Lot 375 Early Winchester Model 101 Over/Under Skeet Gun
Early Winchester Model 101 Over/Under Skeet Gun, #57266. 12 ga. 26" vent rib barrels have target beads, 2-3/4" chambers, and are choked Skt/Skt. The boxlock action features a single selective mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety, and auto ejectors; the receiver is lightly engraved. The semi-beavertail forend and pistol grip buttstock are of straight-grain walnut, oil-finished, and adequately checkered, with a metal grip cap and Pachmayr Whiteline butt pad. Stock dimensions are 14"x1-5/8"x2-1/4". Made in 1963 by Nikko in Japan for Winchester. Condition is about very good, 60%-70%, as the action has loosened significantly over the years of shooting. Receiver and possibly barrels appear to be reblued. Wood shows little abuse, possibly from a refinish. However, the action still locks up tight and functions correctly; bores are bright. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R)
