^Lot 403 Siamese Type 46 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle

Siamese Type 46 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #2232, 8x50Rmm, 29.8" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock set, inverted "V" front sight and adjustable tangent rear sight. An excellent condition sliding steel dustcover and a good condition spring steel muzzle cover are attached. Cleaning rod is mounted under the barrel but will not screw fully into position. Marked on top of receiver ring with the crest of King Rama VI over model type. Thai character serial number on rear receiver bridge. Condition overall is good with the metal retaining approx. 80% finish, showing rust to the rear sight and patina to the magazine floorplate and along the barrel wood line. Hand guard appears to be a replacement, and there is a small crack to the right-side forend below the rear sight. Wood is good otherwise with new and old bruises to the dark finish. Action operates smoothly, bore is poor with barely visible rifling. No visible import marks. Est.: $500-$700. (C&R)
