Indian 2A1 Lee-Enfield Bolt Action Rifle, #M4729, 7.62x51mm, 25.2" barrel, black-painted finish, hardwood stock set, blade front sight with protectors and adjustable tangent rear sight. Marked on right-side action body "(Ashoka symbol)/RIFLE/7.62 mm 2A1/R.F.I./1966". "S(Broad Arrow)A stamp on right-side buttstock. Matching numbers on bolt handle, rear sight leaf and nose cap. Plastic oiler in butt trap. A fair condition soiled cotton sling is attached. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 60% painted finish, showing chips and scratches across most surfaces with areas of light patina. A red stripe has been painted behind the rear sight. There is an arsenal repaired section to the left-side buttstock and a crack on the right side, otherwise the wood is good, showing scratches and handling marks to the dark finish.
