^Lot 461 Colt Woodsman 1st Series Match Target Semi-Automatic Pistol

Colt Woodsman 1st Series Match Target Semi-Automatic Pistol, #MT11065, .22 L.R. cal., 6.6" heavy barrel, pinned blade front and adjustable rear sights, blue finish, replacement Colt marked extended length checkered plastic two-piece grips, and one correct two-tone Colt magazine marked "COLT WOODSMAN/CAL .22 L.R./MATCH TARGET MOD." Mfg'd 1941. Pistol is in very good overall condition retaining approx. 84%-86% thinning blue finish, with a crisp "MATCH TARGET" bullseye on the left barrel lug. Barrel shows loss of finish at the muzzle and drifts to gray patina in areas at the rear. Frame and slide show highpoint edgewear with small scratches and mars. Front and rear grip straps show scrapes and thinning of finish. Grips are Colt marked military style replacements and are in very good condition. Unfortunately, someone has drilled a small tap hole in the middle of the magazine base. (It does not affect the function but detracts from the appearance.) Bore is very good and the action is crisp on this WWII era Match Target. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)
