^Lot 781 Winchester Model 72 Bolt Action Rifle

Winchester Model 72 Bolt Action Rifle, NSNV, .22 S/L/LR cal., 25" round tapered barrel, ramped blade front and receiver mounted aperture sights, blue finish, smooth wood one-piece pistol grip stock, 1/2-length tubular magazine, sling swivels, and a period leather military style sling. Mfg'd from 1938-1959. Rifle is in near fine overall condition with the barrel and magazine retaining approx. 80% thinning blue finish, showing wear at the muzzle and light scratches. Receiver also retains a significant amount of original finish with edgewear as well as the trigger guard. There are crisp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front ring. Stock is in very good condition with small mars and handling marks. Buttstock ends with a checkered hard rubber Winchester marked buttplate. Action works well, bright and shiny bore shows clearly defined rifling. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
