Antique French Percussion Carbine, Mfg'd at Tulle Armory, NVSN, .72 cal., 19.75" round barrel has low-blade front, notched rear sights; bevel-edge carbine lock with rounded/pointed tail marked "Mre. Imple. De Tulle/J. Manceaux Entrepl", has tall left-leaning hammer, was altered from original flintlock; 11.75" front-hinged sling bar with double rings at left side; brass fittings include trigger guard on iron floorplate, flat buttplate, serpentine sideplate, nosecap with bar attachment. Oil-finished hardwood halfstock with "fish-belly" butt profile. Condition is good showing gray gunmetal cleaned of moderate etching with fine edges and clear markings, age-toned brass. Stock is sound showing scattered mostly small marks, smooth added finish. Two-click action is crisp (replaced nipple), smoothbore is bright. Est.: $600-$900. (Antique)
