^Lot 85 Osgood Gun Works Duplex Over/Under Revolver

Osgood Gun Works Duplex Over/Under Revolver, NSNV, .22 cal. Upper/.32 cal. Lower ribbed barrel, 2.5" ribbed tip-down barrels, blade front and fixed rear sights, nickel finish, spur trigger, smooth wood two-piece square butt grips, 8-shot cylinder for .22 barrel and single shot cylinder for .32 barrel. Top of the barrel rib is marked "PAT'D DEC. 7 1880"; top strap is marked "DUPLEX". Left side of the lower barrel is marked "OSGOOD GUN WORKS NORWICH, CONN." Revolver is in near fine overall condition retaining a significant amount of frosted nickel finish, with light surface erosion and edgewear. Hammer and trigger show old muted case hardening. Smooth wood grips are very good with a couple small dents at the base of each grip. Bores are fair with some roughness, and the action functions well on this unique antique revolver. Est.: $700-$900.
