Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Takedown Rifle, #203438, .22 S/L/LR cal., 24" barrel with 3/4-length magazine, factory dovetailed steel bead blade front and standard elevator rear sights, smooth wood two-piece straight grip stock, with ribbed forend and checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Mfg'd 1953. Rifle is in fine overall condition retaining approx. 93%-95% factory finish, with scratches and mars from carry and use. There is highpoint edgewear on the receiver and small spots of surface rust on the barrel. There are sharp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front of the receiver. Stock is very good with a number of small horizontal dents behind the rear tang. The checkered steel buttplate provides a 13.5" LOP. Action works smoothly, bore is good with defined rifling.
