CHILE, Santiago, "volcano" ½ real, 1834/3 I, NGC MS 62 (Colección Val y Mexía Label), finest and only example in NGC census. KM-90. Beautifully rainbow toned over luster, choice strike with rims almost full, a couple small marks only, apparently quite scarce as we cannot find any others auctioned in recent years. Pedigreed to the Val y Mexia Collection.
