COLOMBIA, 4 reales-sized proclamation medal, Charles IV, 1790, Emmanuel Caicedo / Real de Cali, corded edge, PCGS VF details / holed, ex-Becerra. Restrepo-p.121; Herrera-201; Medina-233. Obverse with bust of Charles III [sic] within legend CAROL*IV*D*G* HISP*ET IND*R• (heavier, less detailed bust than for coin issues); reverse with arms of Cali within legend EMML. CAICEDO • OLIM•D•CAR•III•HOD•D•CAR•IV•CALI with date *1789* at bottom. A scarce medal, typically found holed (like this one, albeit in this case with four holes at each compass point), minor marks but only light, even wear. Pedigreed to the Becerra Collection (stated on label).
