COLOMBIA, Bogotá, bust 2 reales, Charles III, 1772 V•J, mintmark N•R, NGC VF 30, finest known in NGC census, ex-Becerra, Restrepo Plate. Restrepo-42.2; KM-47; Cal-742. Nicely toned and well struck, with nearly full rims and lacking any flaws, desirable first date of issue, this variety listed as "very scarce" in Restrepo, in which this coin is plated, bested only by an AU 58 at PCGS. Pedigreed to the Becerra Collection and Plate Coin on page 113 of Restrepo's 2012 book Coins of Colombia (both stated on label).
