COLOMBIA, Bogotá, bust ½ real, Ferdinand VII (bust of Charles IV), 1812 J•F, mintmark MR instead of NR, NGC VG details / cleaned, ex-Becerra. Restrepo-106.6; KM-69.1; Cal-449. Off-center strike with weak and lightly hairlined centers but good legends with colorful toning, off-center obverse, very scarce date (about eleven known) that has the distinction of being the only one to show the mintmark as MR, which some speculate was an attempt to denote "medio real" for the denomination. Pedigreed to the Becerra Collection (stated on label).
