COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold 1 peso, 1871, very rare, ex-JEAS. Restrepo-322.1; Sed-32; KM-157.2; Fr-109. 1.66 grams. Lightly cleaned AU with rim-bruise, an elusive first date of type that is rated as RR in Sedwick but Restrepo says "three known," which is more reflective of the market, in which we can trace only one other having been sold in recent years. Pedigreed to the JEAS Collection.
