COLOMBIA, Medellín, gold 2½ pesos, 1928, rare, ex-JEAS. Restrepo-452.3; Sed-50; KM-203; Fr-116. 3.98 grams. Lightly polished UNC with strong die-clash on obverse and trace of same on reverse (curiously the same characteristic on the Sedwick specimen), listed as rare in Restrepo and rated RRR in Sedwick, who noted "quite rare but with little demand," which explains why it is usually found in group-lots. Pedigreed to the JEAS Collection.
