COSTA RICA, 2 reales, female head / ceiba tree counterstamp (Type III, 1845) on a Cuba (Trinidad / Santiago / Principe) 2 reales lattice countermark (1841) on a Madrid, Spain, bust 2 reales, Ferdinand VII, 1822 SR, PCGS VG10 / c/m VF detail, finest and only example in PCGS census. KM-44. Interesting triple-country issue in a rare straight-grade holder, with all three countermarks clear (nearly full) and the host date and mintmark also quite prominent, lightly toned all over but strongly so in crevices, also a rare host type.
