MEXICO, Chihuahua, bust 8 reales, Ferdinand VII, 1821 RP, flip-struck over a cast Chihuahua bust 8 reales of 1812 RP with T and pomegranate countermarks, rare, NGC F 15. KM-111.1; Cal-1174. Fascinating example with both obverse and reverse central images visible on both sides (the earlier countermarks also still clear) due to mismatched second strike (a scarce occurrence), yet with new legends and rims bold as well as the rare date, nicely toned all over.
