MOZAMBIQUE (under Portugal), 8 reales, monogrammed-MR countermark (1765) with previous M countermark (1760) on a Lima, Peru, pillar 8 reales, 1757 JM, rare, PCGS XF45, finest and only example in PCGS census. KM-27.2; Gomes-unl (28 for type). Lightly rainbow toned over muted luster, the 1765 countermark very deep and bold on shield side partially effacing the 1760 countermark in the same place on the pillars side, rare to see both countermarks, also this host date unlisted.
