PANAMA, Panama City, cob 1 real, Philip II, assayer oX to right, mintmark AP to left, no denomination, very rare. S-AP1; KM-unl (2 for type); Cal-unl (Type 90). 3.34 grams. Bold full AP to left and oX to right of full and well-detailed shield without any trace of a denomination I, hence an entirely new type (missing in all references, including both Proctor and Plowman), also full but doubled cross, a few parts of the legend visible, XF with very light surface oxidation, toned in crevices, one hairline edge-split.
