PERU, Lima, 2 reales, 1845 MB, NGC MS 61, finest and only example in NGC census, ex-Whittier, ex-O'Brien. KM-141.3. Sharp full strike with nice luster and faint bluish toning, hairlines on Liberty side, scarce date (especially this nice). Pedigreed to the Whittier Collection (stated on label, Heritage auction of June 2006, lot 17489) and to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag.
