VENEZUELA, struck in Belgium, 1/5 bolívar, 1879, crude letters, NGC AU details / scratches. KM-Y19.1. One-year type struck in relatively low mintage and withdrawn as an odd denomination when the ¼ bolívar came along in 1894, now a key coin for collectors, this example with nice luster and faint gray toning but with several long, old scratches on both sides.
