Choice glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. The planchet and surfaces are especially nice and the eye appeal of this piece is outstanding for the grade. The only notable marks are a tiny diagonal fissure on the chin, a trail of microscopic chips from the neck to the second C in CONNEC, and a collection of faint hairline scratches on the lower part of the seated figure. The small fissure on the chin is the only mark that catches your eye. Later die state with swelling in the field off the chin and a strong die break connecting the R in AUCTORI to the dentils above. Comes with a very nice provenance. Weight 113.6 grains.
