^Lot 237 1784 Machin's Mills Vlack 14-84A, W-8130 R5, PCGS graded F12

Glossy olive brown and steel. Mostly smooth but a glass reveals microscopic granularity in the fields and protected areas. No verdigris or notable marks other than some planchet striations at NI on the reverse. Struck using crude dies that were nearly worn out, and the reverse is rotated 105 degrees clockwise relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. The date is bold but die failure weakens parts of the legend. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
