^Lot 130 1787 Connecticut Miller 14-H R3 MBL, PCGS graded AU50

Frosty golden steel with dark steel and olive brown on the highpoints. Possibly lightly cleaned and retoned long ago. Mostly smooth but there is planchet chipping and weakness on the head and the opposing area below the waist of the seated figure and at the date (as struck). No contact marks or corrosion/verdigris. The date is weakened by the chipping but remains easily readable. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Robert M. Martin Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
