Lot 204 1787 Connecticut Miller 37.13-HH R5 DBL, PCGS graded EF45

An ET LIR variety. Mostly glossy light olive and medium brown with darker mahogany in protected areas near the rim. Most of the planchet is smooth but the mahogany areas are covered with fine roughness and microscopic verdigris. A similar mahogany patch shows at the waist of the seated figure. Sharply struck with minor chipping in the centers. This piece has nice eye appeal in spite of the imperfect surfaces. Superior to the Perkins and Taylor examples, comparable to Ford. The attribution and Twin Leaf provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
