Lot 206 1787 Connecticut Miller 43.1-Y R2 DBL, PCGS graded VF35

A CONNFC variety. Mostly glossy chocolate brown and steel with lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. Most of the planchet is smooth but there are patches of fine erosion, mostly on the obverse. The most-notable flaws are two fissures at the dentils left of the top of the portrait. The planchet is not quite round and the strike is off center to K-4. The date and CONNFC error are bold. Weight 148.9 grains. The attribution and Robert M. Martin Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
